AUDIOSLAVE: U.K. Dates Announced

February 8, 2005

NME.com is reporting that AUDIOSLAVE have confirmed details of three U.K. shows for June.

The group, featuring members of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, with Chris Cornell (ex-SOUNDGARDEN) on vocals, will play in Manchester and London.

The dates are:

Jun. 20-21 – London, UK @ Brixton Carling Academy
Jun. 24 – Manchester, UK @ MEN Arena

Tickets go on sale at 9:30 a.m. on February 12.

As previously reported, singer Cornell, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk have been working on the follow-up to their 2002 debut since last year."

AUDIOSLAVE's as-yet-untitled sophomore album is tentatively due in June.

The band has an unusual record label arrangement: because vocalist Chris Cornell, formerly of SOUNDGARDEN, was signed to Interscope Records, that company issued AUDIOSLAVE's debut. But since the other members of the group were signed to Epic when they were in RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, that label gets to release the second AUDIOSLAVE disc. Future releases from AUDIOSLAVE will continue to flip between the two labels.
